Obituary of Natalie Ann Melnyczuk

Natalie Melnyczuk Natalie Melnyczuk, 36, of Syracuse, born July 30, 1984, passed away Friday April 16, 2021. Our extraordinary ray of sunshine has departed this world prematurely to a place where there is no pain, no fear, no anguish. There she will meet up with her grandparents who have been waiting to embrace her and show her how beautiful heaven really is. Natalie attended Marcellus High School then went on to the University of Buffalo where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology. She started working at the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que restaurant during the summers and throughout her college years and continued up until 2020. She leaves behind her parents, Stephanie and John Melnyczuk; her sister Deana; brother Michael; her aunt and uncle Natalka and Ihor Godzak; cousins Nicholas and Alex Godzak; her two beloved Frenchies Nugget and Indie and countless beloved friends. Natalie loved the outdoors; hiking, paddle-boarding and traveling. She loved music and was a self-accomplished artist in her own right. Her dogs aka "little hams" were the love of her life. If she could, she would have taken in every stray and sheltered them from the storm. She was an excellent cook and always shared her creations with family and friends. She gave of herself to everyone and expected nothing in return. She had a beautiful soul, the depths of which no amount of compassion or kindness knew no bounds. Although our hearts ache for her loss, we know that her journey into the afterlife will outweigh our sorrow. We love you Natalie, always and forever. Calling hours will be held on Saturday April 24, 2021 from 9AM-10AM at the Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Drive Syracuse, NY 13219 with a Memorial Mass to be celebrated at 10AM. Contributions may be made to the SPCA, Humane Association or Tiny Tails.
