Thomas "Tom" Donald Godzac

Thomas "Tom" Donald Godzac, 74, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday January 9, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Tom was a life resident of Syracuse. For 25 years he worked as an Insurance Agent for Prudential Insurance Co. then for the next 10 years he went to work for the Pennysaver Newspaper where he worked in sales.

Tom received his Associates Degree from Oswego State College. He played basketball at Sacred Heart School and led his team to a city championship. He then later went on to coach the team and led them to a city championship. Tom enjoyed golfing and was an avid SU and NY Yankee fan. He also served in the US Army Reserves. He adored his wife Donna, and loved spending time with his loving family.

He was predeceased by his parents, Donald & Anne Godzac and his brother Edward Godzac.

Surviving to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 23 years, Donna (Calo) Godzac, his daughters, Lori (Rich) MacBlane, Kristy Cerio, Michelle Hargrove, Jennifer (Darrin Card) Tassone, Billie (Lawrence) Werts, 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several cousins, and his beloved pet Pekingese, Mia.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Macko-Vassallo Funeral Home, 1609 W. Genesee Street, Syracuse, NY 13204. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
