William E. Boyea, 86, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday October 29, 2024 at Onondaga Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Potsdam, NY, was a 1955 graduate of Oswego High School. He was a longtime resident of Roebling, NJ and retired from Occidental Chemical Corp. where he worked as a machinist. He was a staunch labor union advocate and held many offices, member of the NRA, and VFW. William had strong personal beliefs on everything. If he thought he was right, no one else was. He enjoyed sausage, pepper and onion sandwiches, ice cream, and never met a pastry he disliked. He enjoyed traveling, all things Irish, every dog he ever had, everyone was a cousin by blood, and his wife Ginny.


He was predeceased by his wife Ginny and his parents Edward & Wanetha.


He is survived by his children, Dorothy "Dotti" Splawn, Colleen Boyea, William "Bill" (Teri) Boyea, step children, Bill (Suzette) Burns, Rich, Jimmy and Pam Burns, his brothers, James Boyea and Richard Boyea, 12 grandchildren several great grandchildren and two nieces and nephews.


Services will be private, burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington, NJ.
