Klara Szpiczka passed away at home early on September 21, after a brief struggle with cancer. She was surrounded by family. Klara was 83 years young, and throughout her life she was very involved with the Ukrainian community and organizations. She was extremely family-oriented and loved hearing about her grandchildren's accomplishments as well as what they had for breakfast. When her daughter got married, she gained the son she never had, and her joy was boundless. Klara was quick to laugh and had many friends whom she cherished.
Klara is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years Vladymier, her daughter and son-in-law Natallka and Adam Hromiak, and her two grandchildren, Halyna and Markian.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at ther Macko-Vassallo Funeral Home, 1609 West Genesee Street, Syracuse, NY 13204. The Apostleship of Prayer will recite the Rosary at
4:45 pm and the Panakhyda Service will be held at 7:00 pm friday at the funeral home. The funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 10:00 am at the St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 207 Tompkins St., Syracuse, NY.
