Obituary of Anna B. Poole

Anna "Hania" Poole, 65, of Syracuse, was called to God's home on Thursday, February 29, 2024. Anna graduated from West Genesee High School and held positions of Head Cashier at Mr. Second's, and various positions at Home Depot, and Lowes. She was very proud of her Ukrainian heritage and it was obvious with her display of Ukrainian emblems both in her home as well as outside. She loved collecting memorabilia and her and her beloved husband Jim would decorate their home beautifully for every holiday.
She was predeceased by her parents Walter and Sophie Perla.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jim, her brother Joe Perla, her sister Mari (Rick) Harte, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Macko-Vassallo Funeral Home, 1609 W. Genesee St. Syracuse, NY 13204. The Panakhyda Service will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at 10:00 am in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 207 Tompkins St., Syracuse. Anna will be laid to rest in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
