Anna Nowey, 97, of Westvale, passed away peacefully Tuesday January 16, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Anna retired from Carrier Corporation where she worked for many years in Food Service. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church and a member of the Apostleship of Prayer. Anna enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time loving & caring for her family.

She was predeceased by her husband Harry who died 2001 and her son Walter who died 2014.

She is survived by her grandchildren Walter (Autumn) Nowey of Dewitt, Mark (Ashlyn) Nowey of Albany, Kristina Hartung of Syracuse, and a great grandchild Hollis Nowey.

Calling hours will be held Monday, January 22, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Macko-Vassallo Funeral Home, 1609 W. Genesee St. Syracuse, NY 13204. The Apostleship of Prayer will recite the Rosary at 4:00 pm and the Panakhyda Service will be held at 6:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 10:00 am in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 207 Tompkins St., Syracuse. Anna will be laid to rest in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
