Diane Busko Hartzog, 58, of Cicero, passed away peacefully Saturday June 17, 2023 at her home. Diane was born in Syracuse. She was a graduate of West Genesee High School class of 1982 and Bryant & Stratton College. She retired in 2022 from SUNY Upstate Medical Center where she worked as the Residency Coordinator for Emergency Medicine for 32 years.

She enjoyed being with friends, attending musical events, gardening, the outdoors, and especially spending time with her two sons.

She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Ksenia Busko.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her sons Tyler and Austin of Cicero, Her sister Teresa (Matt) Natoli of Syracuse, brother Bill (Irene) Busko of Pleasant Prairie, WI, loving two nieces, a nephew, and several cousins.

Calling hours will be held Sunday June 25, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the Macko-Vassallo Funeral Home, 1609 W. Genesee Street, Syracuse, NY 13204. The Panakhyda Services will will held at 6:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Monday June 26, 2023 at 10:00 am in the St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 207 Tompkins St. Syracuse, NY 13204. Diane will be laid to rest in the St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
