During the many early months of covid lockdown my two children and I would walk by his house at least twice a day (we live on the same street). Whiskey was always on his porch and would spend quite a bit of time talking to my daughter Vivienne. She looked forward to his chats and would quickly run (or bike) to his house when we rounded Coleridge hoping he was out there. He listened as she told him over and over about her bike or her helmet and about how the playground was still closed (she was three at the time and never stopped talking). He answered any odd question she might have had that day. He was so patient with her and so kind.
Whiskey was a bright spot during those early days of covid and through that summer… I just want his family to know what a big impact he had on a little three year old girl (and her mother).
