On January 9, 2022, Maria (Kulynycz) Adamowsky, 89, of East Syracuse, died peacefully at home after a long illness. She was born in 1932 in Ukraine. She retired from General Super Plating Company, where she held various positions, including Team Leader, in the Quality Control Department. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and preparing meals for family and friends. She was an excellent cook, especially preparing Ukrainian dishes. Grandma's mushrooms were the best! She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Syracuse. She was predeceased by her parents, Ivan and Olena Kulynycz; husband Peter; three brothers, Ivan, Stefan and Vasyl; and a granddaughter, Julianne. She is survived by her sister Eva; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Olga of Columbia, South Carolina, John of Manlius, Don and Cindy of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Peter, Lauren, Eric (Clare) and Mia; great granddaughter, Olivia; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be private. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at the St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church or a charity of your choice.
