Frederick P. "Fast Freddie" Salvetti, 81, of Baldwinsville, passed away Monday, May 18, 2026 at his home. Freddie was born July 16, 1944 in Syracuse, NY. To Frederick Salvetti, Sr. and Marie Wight. Freddie was a graduate of North High School. He was a US Army veteran where he served in the Vietnam war. During his service in the armed forces, he received many awards. He received the National Defense Medal, 2 Stars Vietnam service medal, and the US Army commendation medal. He retired from Burns Brothers where he worked as a Journeyman Pipe Fitter for many years. Freddie was a member of Local 267 Plumbers and Steamfitters. He was an avid reader, he loved his neighbors, animals, and especially spending time with the guys and enjoying a good cigar at Kieffers Cigar Store in the Village of Liverpool, talking politics and keeping up with his beloved New York Yankees. He was a generous man, donated to many charities and organizations in the area. He was a great people person, fun to be around.

He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick Salvetti, Sr., and Marie Wight and his brother and his wife Robert and Suzanne Lutz..

He is survived by his brother Thomas & Marie Lutz, Nieces and nephews, Kristine and Darryl Sheaks, Tracy Copani , Danielle and T.J. Lutz.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 4069 Howlett Hill Road, Syracuse, NY 13215.
