Raisa Tkachenko, 64, of Syracuse, passed Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Upstate University Hospital. Raisa was born in Ukraine and immigrated to the United States 4 years ago. She was a member of the First Ukrainian Pentecostal Church.
She was predeceased by her husband Victor Tkachenko and her father Ivan Tomulo.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Liudmyla (Volodymyr) Kolos, sons, Vitlay (Svetlana) Tkachenko and Oleksandr Tkachenko, her mother, Halyna Tomulo, sisters, Nadia (Vitlay) Tolstikova, Natalia Osatskiv, brother, Ivan Tomulo, and eight grandchildren, Denil, Yaroslav, Viktoriia, David, Mark, Jacob, Esther, and Milana.
A calling hour will be held Friday, May 8, 2026 from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm followed by a funeral service to be held at 7:00 pm at the First Ukrainian Pentecostal Church, 3875 Warners Rd, Syracuse. A second service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 9:30 am at the church. Raisa will be laid to rest in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners, NY.
