Margareta Kondakoff
December 27, 2025
Margareta Kondakoff, 88, of North Syracuse, was called home to the Lord on Saturday, December 27, 2025.
She was a loving wife to Paul ("Deda"), a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and to all of us, simply "Oma." She was the heart of our family: a listener, a comforter, and someone who always showed unconditional love and support. And even when times were tough, Oma somehow found a way to make us laugh, with a little smile, a funny comment, or just her presence.
She is now reunited with her devoted husband, Paul "Deda," and her beloved daughter, Elizabeth "Liz."
Margareta was always there to support, to love, to care, and to understand. She will forever remain the top branch of our family tree. Through both love and hardship, she taught us what it truly means to be family and how to love one another wholeheartedly.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Ss. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, 401 Hamilton St., Syracuse, NY 13204. A Panakhyda Service will be held at 7:00 pm Friday evening in the church. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 10:00 am in the Ss. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in the Ss. Peter & Paul Orthodox Cemetery.
May her memory be eternal, and may the love she shared continue to live within each of us. We will always carry her in our hearts and continue to honor her by being a loving family.
Forever and always… our "Oma."
