Obituary of Olga Tsvor

Olga Tsvor, 79, of Solvay, NY, passed away peacefully at home on November 29, 2025 in the presence of her children. Olga was born in Ukraine into a family of Karpo and Mariya Bobko in 1946, shortly after the end of WWII, and, like many, endured the hardships of the post-war times, including religious persecution, which prevented her from obtaining higher education or landing a prestigious job. Nevertheless, she remained a faithful believer in Christ Jesus, and carried that belief throughout her life, being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Olga married Danil Tsvor in 1974 and moved to live with him in Brest, Belarus, where they had their 6 children. Olga had been busy at home, raising the children and supporting Danil in his church's ministry as a deacon. After moving to the United States in 2000, Olga had been a member of the First Ukrainian Pentecostal Church. She prayed and cared deeply for her children, grandchildren, and all those she knew and loved throughout the years of her life in US. She is survived by her (4) daughters: Irina (Sergey) Yarmolyuk of Brest, Belarus, Galina (Pavel) Silyuk of Boiling Springs, SC, Anna (Nikolay) Yanushchik of Camillus, NY, and Zhanna Tsvor of Solvay, NY; and (2) sons: Victor (Halyna) Tsvor of Syracuse, NY, and Mikhail (Valentina) Tsvor of Warners, NY, as well as 32 grandchildren, an older brother Andrey (Donna) of Tucson AZ, younger sister Jeana (Vasyl) Omelyanovsky of Greer, SC, and their children. May her memory be a blessing to all she knew and loved. Olga was predeceased by her husband Danil who died in 2017, her younger sister Lyuda, and her older sisters Sonya, Anna, and Mariya. An evening service in honor of Olga's life will be held Friday, December 5, 2025, at 7:00 pm at First Ukrainian Pentecostal Church, 3875 Warners Rd, Syracuse, NY 13209, followed by funeral services on Saturday, December 6, at 9:30 am. Olga will be laid to rest beside her husband Danil in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners, NY.
